How could I describe these lovely sweets? As a good architect I could say that they are round and soft and they have a small dome to devour. They almost make us remember little mushrooms as seen in cartoons. Perhaps because they call back to childhood! They are ideal to eat as a snack. I would eat them as a midnight snack as well….. This recipe is one of the many versions of this sweet. My version includes the chocolate chips and the hazelnuts. They are simple but amazing and easy to prepare. Their flavor will persuade you to cook them very often!
Ingredients for 5 muffins of 5×7 cm:
- 100 grams pastry flour
- 80 grams caster sugar
- 80 grams softened butter
- 1 egg
- 90 grams fresh milk
- 25 grams grains of hazelnut
- 8 grams baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 30 grams chocolate chips
Method
Mix the butter with the sugar and salt. Add the egg and mix with the whips. Sift the flour with the yeast. After add them, little by little, to the cream. Finally, pour the milk. Mix again and incorporate the chocolate chips and the hazelnuts grain , mixing from the bottom up. Bake them in preheated oven at 180° Celsius degrees for about 28-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let them cool.
