Hello everyone! Today I want to give you a really delicious dessert recipe: I’m talking about “beijinhos”! They are Brazilian coconut sweets that are generally served during the birthday parties. Some recipes include the eggs or peel and citrus juice. In the traditional recipe the main ingredients are: coconut, condensed milk and cloves. I have no special suggestions to give you because the recipe is absolutely simple. Ingredients for 10 beijinhos:
- 170 grams condensed milk
- 15grams butter
- 2 tablespoons grated dried coconut
- 10 cloves
For the decoration:
- grated dried coconut to taste
- Butter to taste
Method
Put the butter and condensed milk in a non-stick pot. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat, stirring constantly. Cook for about 13-15 minutes. Pour the cream into a buttered bowl and place it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Now grease the hands with some other butter and take a small portion of the mixture. Form a small ball shape and sprinkle with the coconut. Put the beijinho in a special paper cup and decorate with a clove. Proceed in this way for all other pastries.
