I’ve always thought Asian cuisine was one of the most interesting in the world for the used ingredients and for the preparation and cooking techniques of food. For this reason I’ve prepared this delicious typical Korean dish. Traditionally the meat is marinated and grilled, but if you don’t have a grill you can use a common pan. In the marinade you should put the Asian pear which is different from our European pears, then if you can find it in the markets or in specialty shops don’t hesitate to buy it . You can replace the caster sugar with the brown sugar and also add the ginger to the marinade. Finally you can use the following meat cuts: tenderloin or sirloin. So you can vary this dish as you like, the result will always be the same: excellent !!

Ingredients:
- 650grams veal sirloin
- 1 medium white onion
- 2 spring onions
- 2tablespoonstoasted sesame seeds
- 6tablespoonssesame oil
- 3tablespoonssoy sauce
- 2carrots
- 3mincedcloves garlic
- 3teaspoonscaster sugar
- few leaves oflettuce
- groundblack pepper to taste
Method
Cut the meat into thin strips or thin slices and place in a bowl. Chop the white onion and the two spring onions and put them into the same bowl. You have to set aside a few spring onions for the decoration. Then add carrots, also you have to cut them into strips and after add the garlic. Season with soy sauce, oil, sugar and sesame seeds. Finally, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in refrigerator for two hours at least. So heat a frying pan and place the meat with its juices and the vegetables. Cook over high heat for about 5 minutes and stir constantly. Add ground pepper, taste the meat and, if necessary, add a pinch of salt. Serve with clean lettuce leaves and garnish with some sliced spring onion.
